Daughter,
You are an express image of God. Your mind. Your heart. Your physical being; all these can and should be in line with the intimate image of God. I won´t beat about the bush dear, there is no time for pleasantries. This letter means a lot to me so I would want to go straight to the point.
What is the express image of God? Know this, my letter has little to do with theology and everything to do with my personal relationship with God. Hear me, God is love and that is His image. His love transcends your bad decisions. His love is beyond and above the love I, your mom, can express towards you, your brother or your dad. His love is the kind of love that will pick you up from the lowest valley and dirtiest trenches, wipe you clean, and set you up on a hill. The love of God does not plateau. How do I even describe plateau to you? You see how mountains have flat tops and cannot go any further? God´s love is not like that. God´s love is boundless, limitless and endless. And No, God´s love is based on nothing and that is why He can and will love you regardless of what you do. He loves you by your name and date and time of birth, meaning, He loves you personally. Guess what? That is in His nature and so will it be forever. At this juncture, I dare to tell you that you have no other choice than to depend on this expression of His love to live. You will see life in different shades, good, bad, ugly and terrible. In all these events depend carelessly on this Love of God I have just described. This is how God has loved me and this is the only way I can describe Him in my very limited diction.
As I have described how careless and reckless the love of God is, that is the kind of love God has imbibed in us. It is our innate nature to love recklessly because whether we believe it or not, we carry the personality of God. Sadly, this reckless love can be targeted toward wrong people, a person or even desires and this can make you very toxic. I dare you to love people deeply and affectionately yet I want you to make use of profound wisdom and discernment. Wisdom dictates what to do and discernment dictates when to do it. Wisdom reveals to you the situation and the options you have to in order to address the situation whiles discernment tells you what the implication of each option you have are. To this point, I hope you understand that the image of God can be expressed in wisdom and discernment and it is only in your decisions will people know that you are a follower of Christ.
An important image of God is fearlessness and zeal. When God wants it done, He will get it done! He will move mountains, He will raise valleys, He will cause confusion in enemies camp, He will part oceans, He builds a fortress, He will go miles to make sure it is done. That is what the Spirit of God does for us. I can say with all certainty that the Spirit of God is a restless Spirit and a very restful Spirit at the same time. When you have to get a task accomplished, know that you have to work to get it done. Every day, must count! It starts with accomplishing very little task like getting out of bed, saying a prayer, moving out of your room, replying a mail and anything that aligns to your purpose on earth. Don’t expect miracles for things you can do physically. You will fail an exam if you don’t learn for it, regardless of how many times you pray. Prayer warriors fail exams all the time. Ask them why? Apply for an opportunity just as everyone will and pray you get it. Miracle happens, only for things you can´t work out yourself. Consider Gideon´s battle, he was ready to go and face the Medianites with 32 thousand soldiers whiles the Medianites had about 135 thousand men. Within these 32 thousand men were men who were scared to the bone, God instructed Gideon to take them all out and go for the battles with just 300 men. 300 men went and fought that battle. Gideon was ready for the battle. Gideon was present for the battle. Gideon had no fear for the battle because he was leaning on God´s words. God showed himself mighty in that battle. My daughter, that is how battles are won, period!!!
Listen, never underestimate the power of physical readiness. Be physically ready each and every single day of your life. The power of the spirit to be manifested through you will always depend on your physical readiness. Read good books. Explore opportunities. Sleep well. Eat healthy. Work like you have no helper and pray like you cannot work. Be fearless and zealous about your many potentials.
To this point, I have shared three of God´s nature; love, fearlessness and zeal, and hard work. Live well my daughter, depend fervently on God, and trust in no man not even me, your mother.
